Worked at Henderson Park Capital Partners, a real estate private equity firm with circa $14 billion invested in a variety of real estate assets such as residential developments, offices, PBSA, hotels and logistics. Key responsibilities/achievements: • Working within the Investment Operations team to manage the operation of 10+ assets that I was allocated. • Assets I was responsible for included the largest shopping centre in Scotland and prestigious hotels across the UK, as well as a multi-purpose site in Italy. • Ensuring liquidity was maintained across all assets by working closely with the Investment Managers and the Fund Management team. • Working closely with all partners and administrators involved in the day to day running of my assets to ensure all operational objectives of each asset were being met. • Being the point of contact for all teams at the firm when it came to financial queries relating to my assets. • Preparing for and leading weekly team meetings to discuss priorities for the week and provide important updates on my assets. • Completing quarterly valuations of each of my assets and of the funds. • Project managing the audits of the companies within the asset structure for each of my assets. • Working closely with team members based in other countries such as Luxembourg to ensure team deliverables were met.

Worked as an Associate and then a Senior Associate within the EY FSO Assurance service line, specialising in the audits of asset managers and private equity firms. This involved: • Working on the first-year audit of a large listed FTSE 250 asset manager, including completing multiple interim audits. • Developing an understand of numerous complex businesses operating within the Wealth and Asset Management industry. • Working on the audit of one of EY's largest clients, a listed FTSE 100 asset manager. • Running multiple meetings with client teams and presenting to senior members of each audit team I worked in, including the Engagement Partner. • Becoming a digital champion within my division, leading the implementation of digital tools on the audits I worked on. • Completing testing of complex accounting areas and ensuring high quality of key deliverables I worked on such as Audit Board Reports. • Completing CASS audits for clients, providing assurance on compliance with the FCA's client money and asset regulations. • Becoming a part of my division's D&I Committee, working with Partners to improve D&I across the division. • Completing ICAS exams to become an ICAS qualified CA.

Completed a Summer Internship at Pillbox Capital, based in the Midlands. This involved: • Working on the launch of the PillboxCapital3 Private Equity Fund (An FCA compliant £75m fund, focused on the rapid buying, building and selling of various medical businesses). • Building a model to analyse investment opportunities. • Presenting my analyses to the investment committee which consisted of senior members within the business such as the CEO. • Working closely with the CEO of the pharmacy business to better understand how we would improve the revenue of any businesses we acquire and factored this information into my model. • Conducted physical site visits of potential businesses that we were considering to acquire.

Completed a Summer Internship within the Finance division at Nomura in London. This involved: • Working within the Structured Credit Product Control team as a Junior Product Controller. • Running daily checks to ensure trades were compliant with regulations. • Posting journal entries to the general ledger to account for any changes required. • Learning about other divisions within Nomura and understanding how the bank generates revenue in the process.

Successfully completed a Summer internship at the Ministry of Defence in London, working within the Directorate of Defence Communications. This involved: • Completing analysis of national surveys conducted by companies such as Ipsos Mori to better understand how to improve the public perception of the MoD. • Presenting such analyses to senior members of the team. • Meeting with senior ministers and directors within the MoD to better understand their roles. • Helping run the UN Peacekeeping Defence Ministerial held in London in 2016. This was the largest gathering of defence ministers dedicated to UN Peacekeeping and was attended by prominent personalities such as Boris Johnson and Angelina Jolie.

Completed a Summer Internship at Deloitte, working with clients in Banking and Capital Markets. Projects I worked on: • Audit of a Nigerian bank. • Consulting project - large bank in Canary Wharf running a global cost tracking exercise.

Secured and completed a Spring Vacation Scheme at Deloitte and learned about the different service lines offered. Managed to secure a Summer Internship within Audit & Assurance for the following summer.
