• Worked in collaboration with 22 community partners, as well as with the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) to organize and oversee healthy eating and physical activity programming for children and their families in the Manitoulin District • Managed an annual budget provided by the MOHLTC • Liaised with a third-party organization to conduct a community needs assessment, as well as a community-level evaluation of the program • Collaborated with Public Health Ontario (PHO) to conduct a provincial-level evaluation • Met regularly with Local Project Managers and Registered Dietitians from across the province to discuss progress, best practices and barriers to program implementation • Recruited members for a Local Steering Committee and hosted monthly committee meetings to guide direction of the program and to share successes and ideas for future programming • Organized a successful marketing campaign to motivate community change and raise public awareness of healthy eating and physical activity programming available
