As an intern at reNIKOLA Sdn Bhd, I have gained hands-on experience in both the Bioenergy and Business Development divisions, contributing to Malaysia’s renewable energy goals. In the Bioenergy Division, I have explored: • Biogas, Biomas, Biofuel and biomethane technologies • Large Scale Solar (LSS) implementation • Field visits to reNIKOLA’s own Solar Farms • Site exploration of the company’s GeoPark in Gebeng, which includes: • LSS integration with goat grazing • Cabin-based hydroponic farming • Solar-powered electric bike charging • Rainwater harvesting and reuse systems • Exposure to Green Sukuk financing mechanisms • Familiarization with NEA 2025 (National Energy Administration 2025 targets and policies) In the Business Development Division, I focused on: • Reviewing project papers such as CRESS • Reading and analyzing tender proposals for major clients, including AirTrunk and Amazon This internship has broadened my understanding of Malaysia’s renewable energy landscape and sparked a strong interest in sustainable energy development and green finance.
