• Managed multiple teams within the Developer Ecosystem. The teams were responsible for Splunk’s Application Marketplace (splunkbase.splunk.com), Splunk’s Developer Site (dev.splunk.com), App Analysis API (appinspect.splunk.com), and App Approval/Certification (Manual Vetting). • Grew the teams from a total of 8 full time engineers and 7 contract engineers to 17 full time engineers and 15 contractors with a retention rate of 94%. • Worked with Product and Engineering leadership to fund a new team dedicated to the support of Splunk’s application developers. • Collaborated across teams covering Product, Design, Engineering, and other departments to align organizational goals with product objectives by evangelizing the OKR framework. • Led a Kubernetes cluster migration effort resulting in Splunk saving more than $3.3M per year in operational costs. • Built and delivered multiple 1 to 3 year roadmaps with the Product team directed at improving the overall experience for our customers, developers, and internal engineers leading to a 70% reduction in support requests, increase from 95% to 99.99% service availability, 99% reduction in infrastructure maintenance; all while scaling to a 5x increase in traffic (~8M requests per day).

• Managed an engineering team of 5 people responsible for Splunk’s Application Marketplace, an app distribution platform for more than 3000 apps, 40k DAUs, and 700k unique monthly consumers of the APIs. • Grew a second engineering team from 2 to 6 engineers responsible for re-architecting Splunk’s Application Analysis service resulting in a microservice architecture with 99% unit test coverage, 0 incidents over 6 months, 92% reduction in deployment time, 3 new SLOs defined, and multiple SLAs established. • Formed and managed a team of 4 engineers to build the commerce service responsible for the first $1M sale for Splunk’s multi-tenant cloud platform.

• Led a team of 6 engineers in an effort to stabilize and modernize the current tech stack from a self managed infrastructure running a monolithic system hosted on AWS to a containerized microservice architecture utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling. • Led a team of 3 engineers in the building of an Application Registry service to enable internal and external application developers to authenticate with Splunk Cloud Services through an OpenID connect flow.

• Worked with a team of 7 engineers on the platform that encompasses the entirety of the services and underlying infrastructure that is used to provision, maintain, and run Splunk Enterprise Cloud for our customers. • Implemented the tooling responsible for the onboarding and provisioning of 500+ beta tenants for customers.

As an SDET at Amazon I was in charge of creating test frameworks, tools, and processes that maximize the quality of our product while minimizing the time to market. • Led the testing effort for Prime Music on two generations of kindle devices. • Automated performance testing and implemented continuous integration to allow performance to be measured on a daily basis rather than weekly. • Designed and implemented our build automation to release onto our test servers upon any code change. • Reduced the build and release time from 6 hours to 30 minutes. • Created an automated process to compare UI between pre-release and production software that greatly reduced UI errors from going to production

As a lead software test engineer at Sumerge I was in charge of effectively leading the testing team in development projects for government, private, and public industry clients. • Supervised a five-member software test engineering team in developing and implementing quality-assurance methodologies for 3-6 projects concurrently. • Created and executed automated software test plans, cases, and scripts that accelerated average testing turn-around time by 50% or more, allowing the company to accept more projects without expanding the testing team.
