Human Resources @ Weekley Electric, LLC

About

Spending my entire career in human resources, I have developed brand-new departments, supported high-growth cultures, championed workforce reorganizations, and built best-in-class human resources programs and processes. ★ ★ ★ In each of my positions, I worked diligently to develop and implement the HR infrastructures, proving highly effective, whether operating in startup, high-growth, or transitional environments. Throughout my tenure with The Longaberger Company, I contributed heavily to the redesign of our 2K-employee manufacturing workforce—capturing $3M in first-year savings—we received USA Today’s National Award for our efforts and impact on organizational development, efficiencies, and effectiveness. ★ ★ ★ Working next with Home Depot, I managed human resources across a vast Columbus market of 7 stores and 800+ employees. Developing our HRBP structure, I led a team of 3 direct reports in serving employees’ HR needs while becoming a trusted business ally for 100+ supervisors and managers. My lasting legacy in the district was developing first-time leadership training to buoy the skills of our frontline leaders, drive engagement and retention, and enable a robust succession plan. ★ ★ ★ Joining Thirty-One Gifts, then a startup, I developed their first HR Department, built a talented team, and scaled the infrastructure to support the 1,900% growth we experienced in our first 4 years and, ultimately, an organization of up to 1K employees. Constructing people-centered policies, practices, and programs, I was highly effective in leading Human Resources throughout the company’s evolution, twice relocating our Home Office, building inaugural staffing and training programs, and even overseeing our 5 annual National Conferences with 10K+ attendees. ★ ★ ★ Spending the past few years with a cold storage provider, I was able to modernize their approach to human resources, implement formal policies and programs, and transform the culture through targeted engagement initiatives. From performing a comprehensive compensation analysis resulting in hourly wage increases, to deploying new benefits and retirement programs, to mitigating noncompliance through counseling of employees and leaders, “transformative” would be an understatement for my tenure with the company. Seeing marked improvements in turnover reduction, employee engagement, and overall employee experience, I am incredibly proud of my work with Mattingly Family Companies.
