Réka Pataki

As a university student, I support the Department of Management and Organization (Vezetés és Szervezés Tanszék) through both professional and administrative tasks. This role gives me the opportunity to contribute to the department’s work while gaining valuable hands-on experience in academic life.

I am excited about this period of growth, as it allows me to gain deeper insights into automation within an MS environment, streamlining administrative tasks and enhancing data accuracy. This hands-on experience is providing me with valuable knowledge on optimizing HR processes through technology. In my role, I support key HR functions, including new employee orientation, onboarding documentation. I also manage and maintain HR records to ensure compliance and efficiency. Through hands-on experience with the Vantage system, I am continuously deepen my understanding of trainings and learnings.

Despite being a full-time student, I am concurrently employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. as a part-time HR intern in the Assurance Department. Some of my responsibilities include assisting with new employee orientation and onboarding paperwork, managing employee communications such as newsletters or announcements, and organizing HR documents. I have acquired insights into employee relations and conflict resolution by observing how senior HR professionals handle delicate workplace situations with tact and professionalism.

The team of the Lámfalussy Sándor College of Expertise is constantly evolving, currently comprising 40-50 active members throughout the academic year. Within our organization, there are 5 committees in operation. Members are tasked with specific responsibilities to ensure our participation in high-quality courses, competitions, and team-building programs, but primarily to ensure the seamless functioning of the organization.In addition to my studies, I also serve as the vice president of the HR committee at the Lámfalussy Sándor Student Association. Within this role, I am responsible for the biannual recruiting period, during which we conduct interviews to onboard new members. I am proud to highlight that during my tenure, we achieved our highest number of applicants and successfully recruited members after conducting 50 interviews.

In the International Business Skills (IBS) Minor, the focus is all about getting you ready for the challenges of a global business world, especially in areas like product development, international sales, and marketing. Through this program, you’re constantly developing, whether it’s through sales pitches, negotiations, or even creating reports, presentations, and yes, creative movies.☺️ What makes this program exciting is the combination of personal development and team performance. After each term, you’re assessed on how much you’ve grown, not just as an individual but as a team player. Using models like Tuckman’s team development stages and tools like Belbin and MBTI, you gain a better understanding of yourself and your teammates, which ultimately helps in building a winning team. And don't worry—it's not all about the classroom! You’ll even get a taste of the action in places like the golf course or at the wine table 🍷
