Ryan is a construction leader who builds high-performing teams to deliver the spaces where we work, live, and play. His experience comprises civil, infrastructure, and buildings projects ranging from $5M-$200M across industrial, institutional, commercial and healthcare markets. His roles have taken him across Canada (AB, ON) and the UK. As a Senior Project Manager with Pomerleau, Ryan is responsible for pursuing and executing complex and high-risk projects in the Greater Toronto Area. These include: the Downsview airport lands redevelopment, which at 370 acres is the largest urban redevelopment project in North America; the University of Toronto Academic Wood Tower, which at 14 storeys and 76m is the tallest wood structure in Canada; others. Ryan was named as one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 construction professionals in 2023 by OnSite magazine. He is a founding member of Pomerleau's National Wellbeing Committee and the National Mass Timber Committee. Ryan was also a member of the Toronto Construction Association's Young Construction Leaders (YCL) Executive committee from 2021-2025.

Construction Manager

Led a team of engineers, site managers, quantity surveyors and subcontract labour to deliver 2 concurrent healthcare projects on a live hospital site over 7 phases. I had overall responsibility for project schedule, safety, and quality and led our team to deliver both projects ahead of schedule with no defects. Following this I managed design development for the next stage of works for this repeat client and assisted in negotiating our contract sum. I also developed build methods & construction phasing at preconstruction stage for competitive tenders, and helped our region win a £15M project in the historic city of York with extremely complex site logistics.

Chinook Resource Management Group is a joint venture between Bird Construction, AIM Environmental, and Maple Reinders Group, which was formed to deliver a $130MM P3 (public-private partnership) project to Design, Build, Finance, & Operate a new Composting facility to service the City of Calgary. Elements of the project achieved LEED v4 Gold certification, the first of its kind in Canada. This is now the largest compost facility in North America with total floor area of over 500,000 sq ft.
