Ryan McGuire

Ryan McGuire is a private equity operating executive and growth investor focused on building and scaling middle-market platforms through disciplined capital allocation, M&A-driven expansion, and long-term value creation. He has led several dozen acquisitions across industrial, environmental, infrastructure, and business services sectors, partnering closely with founders, management teams, and sponsors to design platforms that compound value over multi-year hold periods. Ryan is known for building durable growth engines—combining strategic acquisitions, organizational design, and operating leverage to create market-leading businesses. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer at Visterra Landscape Group, where he helps shape inorganic growth strategy, capital deployment, and platform expansion in partnership with the CEO, board, and private equity sponsor. His role spans evaluating where to deploy capital, structuring acquisitions and incentives, and aligning growth initiatives with long-term equity outcomes. Ryan has worked through a full private equity lifecycle, including a successful exit, giving him firsthand perspective on value-creation pacing, investor priorities, and what it takes to build an exit-ready organization. He is frequently sought out by CEOs, boards, and investors as a thought partner on platform design, strategic planning, and market expansion within essential services businesses. He holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Carthage College. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, golf, and time with family.
