I have participated in materials testing on various construction projects in the greater Middle Tennessee area. The testing procedures performed varied according to the needs and progress of each project. My focus has been on determining fresh and hardened concrete properties. I also have dealt with bituminous concrete (asphalt), masonry units, rock cores, grout, mortar, aggregate base, soils, and anchor bolts. I have experience in oversight of technicians in a laboratory setting. I hold several current industry certifications and aim to acquire more. I intend to progress into a project management position with construction materials testing being my primary background and focus. I performed project management functions as well as materials testing in both the laboratory and at project sites. I also served as supervisor in the concrete laboratory. The majority of my time was spent in concrete testing and compilation of report deliverables. I worked on occasion with geotechnical engineering staff on foundation issues and sinkhole remediation. Testing focus was on various properties of concrete, grout, mortar, soils, asphalt, block masonry units, drilled rock core, and anchor bolt systems.

I was mostly a dedicated laboratory technician focusing on materials testing of concrete, grout, mortar, aggregate, and soils. I was utilized in the field on a semi-regular basis for inspection and consultation for materials used in site construction. Intermittently, I assisted our geotechnical department with boring layout, geotechnical report appendices, and assorted testing.
