Codan Tactical Communications is a multinational tactical communication solution provider and radio manufacturer. Headquarted in South Australia, Codan has more than 60 years history in radio designing and manufacturing. In the Manufacturing Engineering Manager position, I'm playing a key role in supporting Codan's transition from a commercial radio manufacturer into a miliarty comms solution provider. With quality improvment and cost control as the end goals, I’m leading a team of software / electronics / mechanical engineers to design / maintain / improve our product manufacturing systems - most notably the automation test systems. The detailed responsibilities incl.: 1. Leading the design / development / maintenance of the manufacturing automation systems. 2. Design and implementation of the automation software applications (Python, C++, SQL, LabVIEW). 3. Supporting the new product introduction (NPI) process. 3. On the software engineer position, I was a key player in the Codan Tactical Communications engineering team. I supported Codan in the whole life cycle of the SDR HF Radio product line. My detailed responsibilities include: 1. Designing, implementing and maintaining the embedded software / firmware / drivers for Codan's HF radio productions and peripheral devices. 2. Designing, implementing and maintaining PC / smartphone applications. 3. Designing automation test framework and test scripts. 4. Managing software i18n and localisation. 5. Creating development requirements documentation. 6. Creating user documentation process and maintaining user documentation. 7. Providing technical leadership in R&D projects.
