My time as an engineer across the differing areas of the business meant I had to adapt to the different types of works that were being carried out as well as having to be able to meet various deadlines. I would be working on multiple ongoing jobs at a time, which meant being comfortable working demanding hours, as well as adapting to different situations quickly. As spending time on site involved dealing with a variety of people (other tradesmen, clients etc.) I saw a large development in my ability to communicate professionally. More often than not, I would be working with other engineers, expanding on my ability to work as part of a team.

As a student I studied a wide range of economic, gravitating towards more specialised units as my education progressed, including Managerial and Decision Economics, Development Economics and Financial Economics. During my third year, as part of a group, I carried out an independent project titled, "Investigating the Effect of Streaming Services and Illegal MP3 Downloads on Paid Music Consumption and Auxiliary Music Goods."

During my time at the school's sixth form I achieved: A B grade in both A-Level History and Economics, and a C grade in A-Level English. I also achieved 11 A-C grades during my secondary education, including an A in English and a B in Mathematics.
