• Designed the integration of a new fuel shutoff valve onto an existing Cummins Diesel Fire Pump in order to replace end of life components • Calculated component torque requirements, modelled stress analyses in SolidWorks FEA, and documented vendor accepted best practices to extend component lifetime 10+ years • Optimized the Diesel Fire Pump’s oil pressure levels by working alongside vendor’s operations team to repair leaking systems

• Integrated a nitrogen-blanket system into the Turbine Electro-Hydraulic Control fluid storage tank to extend fluid lifespan from 6 months to 2 years by decreasing water related control fluid degradation • Designed the addition of a side-stream ion-exchanger to decrease main generator cooling system downtime by 6 hours and maintain water chemistry reliability in the event of resin failure • Optimized safety, costs, and system health requirements for the addition of the side-stream ion-exchanger and documented results for maintenance and operation teams

• Designed and prototyped a custom tool to remotely replace elevated sprinkler heads which would save an estimated $200,000 compared to current methods • Developed the electrical controls for the remote actuation in order to remove and insert sprinkler heads from stationary, threaded bases. • Created an Excel database to organize over 6,000 digital documents critical to plant maintenance
