As Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Stakeholder Relations, I am responsible for two separate management portfolios. The Strategic Initiatives unit is responsible for the maintenance, review and updating of the Alberta Emergency Management Agency's (AEMA) governing legislation. This unit is also responsible for development of corporate and operational policy. The Stakeholder Relations unit is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of internal and external outreach activities that contribute to AEMA's strategic goals. Examples of the type of work that falls in this portfolio include planning and implementing the annual AEMA Stakeholder Summit, coordination of Government of Alberta and community activities for Emergency Preparedness Week, and planning a series of regional workshops.

As the Manager of Legislation and Operation Policy, I have responsibility for a two different portfolio's of work. The first the responsibility for all legislative initiatives related to the emergency management legislative framework within the Alberta Emergency Management Agency. The second portfolio that I am responsible for is the development and maintenance of Business and Strategic Plans for the Alberta Emergency Management Agency, in addition to the reporting requirements for those Plans.
