Key Activities: • Act as a liaison between the student body and EIT staff, presenting student concerns, ideas, and feedback. • Work with the other Student Representatives to address issues raised by peers. • Assist in organising and promoting events to enhance student engagement. • Proactively gather and present student feedback during meetings. • Assist with key events, including orientation, graduation, and workshops, ensuring smooth operations and student participation. • Attend monthly Student Representative meetings, actively contributing to discussions and completing assigned tasks. • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Academic Governance • Actively participate in the review and evaluation of academic programmes and new course development. • Provide feedback on programme content, delivery methods, and overall quality to ensure they meet postgraduate students' needs. • Take part in monitors visits to provide feedback of academic programmes and teaching environments. • Share insights and recommendations based on observations to improve programme delivery and student experience. • Regularly consult with postgraduate students to gather feedback on their academic experiences. • Ensure students’ voices are heard regarding teaching quality, assessment, resources, and support services. • Attend and contribute to academic and governance committees as required. • Represent postgraduate student perspectives on Auckland campus policy changes, curriculum development, and academic decisions. • Advocate for clear, fair, and transparent assessment practices aligned with high academic standards. • Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the development of academic policies that enhance postgraduate education.
