About

As a woman of color growing up in a low-income neighborhood, the importance of education was instilled in me at a young age. Through education I have grown to better understand the inequalities that different groups endure. I grew up wanting to be a teacher and recently realized that there are many more ways to spread knowledge. I am extremely passionate about education and most importantly empowering students to believe in themselves. This is shown in the work I do reaching out to youth from low-income communities like my own.
