Russell Colpoys

In 2006 I purchased a trophy & engraving business in Brisbane’s western suburbs; the business has flourished since then and is now Australia's largest trophy retailer. My role within the business is constantly evolving but my main focus is website development and digital marketing. I have a real passion for ecommerce and can honestly say I’m stoked to come to work each day. I also have a real passion for my team, making sure we hire and retain likeminded people who genuinely enjoy their work. Experience has never mattered to me so much as attitude. My proudest achievement is creating a great team culture within the business. Although I’ve been in small business for 10+ years my background is in the mining sector; I spent the first 12 years of my working life underground, working around Australia and for a short time in Africa. When I’m not working or spending time with my family I do crazy stunts on my mountain bike; breaking bones is one of my best tricks... I love to travel and have visited 60+ countries; if I can combine that with mountain biking I’m even happier.
