The main accountabilities of the job were: monitoring agronomy and Capex budgets against actual operational expenses, preparing all relevant data to Agronomy Operations and Administration Manager. Monitors accounting data produced in agronomy and checks if it expresses the reality from field activity and if it is kept updated in order to enable accuracy and a match between Agronomy and Finance Department figures. Applied the best administration management practices and actions to be sure that they are implemented according with the approved targets and SOX compliance in all aspects. In addition was also responsible to provide assistance to agronomy logistics, transport and procurement, monitor and control the ordering system, deliveries, to control the agronomy procurement progress, monitor and supervise the ordering system and cost allocation, deliveries and follow/up with accordance to MLTC policies. Regular visits to MLTC processing factory in Tete were done.

The operation consisted of Burley tobacco production at the Niassa Province. The position comprised the management of the whole operation in the Niassa Province consisting on a family sector sponsoring program (with more than 6.000 farmers and over 100 workers) where the company was responsible to provide farming inputs (seeds, fertilizers, CPA), logistic and technical assistance followed by purchasing, packing and exports to the Lilongwe (Malawi) factory. In the process other activities were required, such as: management of technical network and the human resources involved; keeping a farmer database, financial control; building of warehouses, promotion of complementary food crops. During this time regular visits to the auctions floors and the ULT processing plant in Lilongwe.
