Held various leadership positions with increased levels of responsibility in the Hi-Tech and Electronics vertical. Responsible for the leadership of a 400k sq. ft. distribution and packaging completion center with up to 500 employees that is focused on Flawless Execution, Collaborative Relationships and Proactive Solutions. Facility is ISO 9001 and FDA certified, ISO 14001& OSHA compliant and has been recognized within Ryder as a Lean Showcase facility for new/existing customers. Responsible for leading the Lean Journey focusing on a team environment, waste elimination and continuous improvement. Under my leadership the facility implemented one piece flow, cell design concept, visual management tools, 6s, leader standard work, drive by dispatch, layered audit program, labor planning and productivity tools, management control tower, layout optimization, waste observation cart, employee suggestion program, and employee culture change. Facility was awarded the Chairman’s Safety Award in 2008 & 2010. Recognized as one of the President’s 2011 Outstanding Heroes of the Supply Chain. Member of the 2012 Ryder Leadership Bridge program. Participated in multiple new customer and organic growth RFP’s. Led multiple presentations to new and existing customers on Ryder’s service offerings, Lean, and Packaging completion capabilities during customer tours.

Senior leadership of multiple facilities throughout the United States. Responsible for the management of retail distribution, consumer direct distribution, order processing, transportation planning, inventory control, budget and expense control. Complete P/L responsibility for a $20M budget. Capable of driving strategies, implementing change and managing direct reports on cross functional teams. Direct the activities of 7 direct reports, 200 associates and 400 temporary staff members. Developed objectives, long term goals, and implemented best practices. Served as the direct link between Sales/Marketing/ Customer Service and Operations

Responsible for the start up and daily management of an 800,000 sq feet of warehouse distribution with inbound of over 9000 ocean containers and $400MM in sales. Negotiated contracts with multiple vendors and 3PL operations throughout the Los Angeles area. Responsible for procurement, facility layout, system management, compliance with government regulations, budgeting and expense analysis. Implemented SAP at 4 facilities in the United States. Developed succession plans and conducted annual reviews.

Responsible for the start up and day to day management of a 150,000 sf foot facility for the company that consolidated functions from across the country. Operations consisted of 40 + employees. Developed operating budget and responsible for purchasing and contract negotiations with local vendors. Designed a warehouse layout that was responsible for both retail distribution and a pick pack direct to consumer operation. Purchased all equipment and racking for an operation that processed 5000 direct to consumer (D2C)orders per day.

Managed the day to day operations of a 1 million sq ft distribution center. Actively participated in the writing, implementation, and training of ISO 9002 work instructions. Assisted in the design and implementation of an order tracking system that improved order turn time by 80%. Assisted in the implementation of SAP and a pick to light system. Developed a balanced scorecard that involved team participation to improve metrics. Developed operating budgets for the facility.

Supervised the maintenance, equipment, and personnel of 8 local warehouses. Supervised and dispatched 5 local drivers, ensuring productivity and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Started at an entry level position and was quickly promoted to positions of responsibility. Developed labor requirements based on daily business volume. Responsible for the proper dispatch of 25 local drivers. Ensured that my areas of responsibility were in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
