Under my current role, I lead the design and implementation of business operations and supply chain for the $500M distribution business spread across Latin America. Managed the financial performance and strategic initiatives for the $1B North American operations of the multinational electronics manufacturing services company. Managed six manufacturing sites across USA (West Coast), Canada, and Mexico. Formulated financial strategies for improving profitability, ensured compliance with SOX and regulatory policies, and oversaw execution of short and long-term strategic financial plans in alignment with corporate objectives. Led implementation of IFRS across the North American region. Supervised all finance personnel and ensured appropriate cash flow. Some of my key achievements: ♦ Instrumental in enhancing regional profitability by 10% YOY by bolstering operational productivity; restructured sites across the region to consolidate unprofitable businesses and obtain economies of scale advantage. ♦ Led due diligence process to evaluate two successful acquisitions in North America and spearheaded the integration process for assimilating newly acquired businesses, including SAP implementation. ♦ Established a consolidated Shared Business Center in Romania for supporting all North American accounting functions; cost reduction benefit estimated at $1M per annum.

Managed all strategic financial management and performance initiatives of Celestica's largest subsidiary in the world, at that time, with revenue of $1.8B, with more than 8k employees under one roof, and led a 25-member finance team. Directed day-to-day performance of financial functions including cash flow management, tax planning, all general accounting function and financial reporting under IFRS. Ensured SOX compliance through an internal control system, coordinated internal and external audits. Establish a performance measurement system to track budgets, optimize expenses, increased capital efficiency, and provided key financial information for decision-making. Implemented a multi-annual budgeting process for long term planning. Some of my key achievements: ♦ Successfully restructured the finance function to improve financial reporting in terms of timing and accuracy; designed a specialized tax strategy catering to Mexican operations, commended by corporate for transforming the Mexico finance team into one of the most efficient and productive team ♦ Established a three-year strategic roadmap with multi-year budget and a management system to track progress, in association with the General Manager and respective site Directors. ♦ Created a shared service organization to take care of the account receivable functions for the North America region, contributing to the improvement of the cash cycle and materialized savings on salaries ♦ Restructured the Mexican subsidiary and brought it back to profitability after losing the losing a major account that contributed 50% to the total business revenue stream ($1B) ♦ Delivered positive EBIT for local operation within one year of assuming command ♦ Collaborated with Corporate Treasury teams to improve FX hedging process and mitigate risk. ♦ Prepared competitive bids for new projects and potential customers

Some of my key achievements: ♦ Displayed acute senior-level leadership by repositioning the company back to break even within four months, following the devastating 2008 financial crisis. ♦ Slashed working capital by 40%, by successfully leading strategic initiatives based on lean manufacturing principles. ♦ Generated $15M in cost savings over a three year period by championing a cost reduction program, aimed at optimizing resource utilization at all operational levels. ♦ Enhanced the site’s ‘Overall Equipment Effectiveness’ (OEE) to 85%, demonstrating world-class manufacturing caliber. ♦ Conceptualized and developed a Total Preventive Management strategy that resulted in a remarkable 25% improvement in machine up-time and maintenance cost savings of $10M. ♦ Successfully transformed an under-performing site for Alcoa into one of its best manufacturing operations within two years.

Led all aspects of financial reporting under USGAAP, and managed all core accounting activities raging from accounts payable collection, and general accounting. ♦ Implemented Sarbanes-Oxley in the Mexican operations ♦ Established a shared service center to consolidate all accounting functions of all UTC divisions in Mexico ♦ Restructured the inventory control system, reduced inventory losses from $2M to $0.2M after the project was completed ♦ Implemented tools and systems applications to improve the efficiency across the accounting functions to reduce the closing cycle and improve accuracy ♦ Led the integration of two businesses acquired in Mexico ♦ Managed tax compliance, internal and external audits
