Sourcing • Proactively call, engage and secure Transport Services from Logistics companies to provide transportation solutions for our loads/shipments nationally • Obtain quotations and negotiate the best cost-effective rate for each lane. This is done in collaboration with Procurement department • Spot/Broadcast tender by offering a shipment to several carriers at the same time. This allows the Service providers to bid to move the shipment • Manage bids by evaluating service levels and benchmarking analysis • Spot tendering and negotiation with Service providers for uncovered shipments, i.e. Shipments without a confirmed Transporter against them • Select the most suitable carrier and manage performance of each carrier per lane Execution • Confirm that all loads/shipments created are ready for execution by performing final validation, by ensuring each shipment has been tendered, (RFQ created); each shipment has been accepted, thus being covered; service providers confirmed and that appointments are captured • Ensure that transit time allows for proper execution, and manage all order changes • End to end collaboration with Customer Service, Demand & Supply, Factories and Warehousing • Ensure Route Guide Compliance by evaluating carrier commitments as per number of business shares allocated per lane. Challenge carriers to obtain coverage. • Perform transportation cost/service based optimization opportunities, and loss recovery • Execution-level service-provider relationship management, by conducting monthly meetings with each carrier to discuss Scorecard performance and explore opportunities to improve service.

Site Logistics Management – Major Components & Materials Management Liaise &coordinate daily the keystones’ transportation & deliveries to site with the Cement Factory & the transportation company, Absolute Wind Pty Ltd Ensure that keystones are stored according to the Storage & Quality Standard, to avoid any cracks or damages to the concrete structure Supervise the offloading of the keystones, ensuring strict Safety measures are adhered to all times Manage the Buffer yard in-flow to ensure space availability to avoid the collapse of the factory. Continuous deliveries to site Liaise & coordinate weekly deliveries of Blades, Hubs and Nacelles with the Ports, (loading ex Coega & Saldahna Ports) Plan the offloading on site with the Civils department, with regards to completed and available platforms Expedite the offloading at the different platforms with the crane company prior to arrival on site Manage and plan all deliveries with Port coordinators regarding site materials’ requirements Supervise the material order requests and issuance to subcontractors Resolves material shortages and queries Site Planning Allocate keystones to the construction subcontractor for internals installations, pre-assembly preparations Provide the loading sequence of completed keystones to the transportation company for pre-assembly shipment Ensure truck availability on site for shipment, that trucks are pre-loaded for time optimization Site materials planning and control Ensure that the build subcontractor adheres to materials’ request procedure Contractor Management Manages the transportation subcontractor, Absolute Wind on site Supervise their operations on site Handle & resolve any contractual issues, which arises.

Site Planning & Logistics teams Management Lead and provide management of the manufacturing site planning and logistics team Ensure optimized production plans are developed together with the operations team in order to minimize downtime and maximize output Develop the factory's run strategy to deliver on cost, and ensure an efficient factory Manage warehouse operations and warehouse staff, stock management, stock rotation and stock control. Allocate people and equipment. Resolves material shortages/ inconsistencies and mitigates impact on firmed production plans Manages RM/PM business waste (material run down plans, obsolescence, SLOBs, MOQs) Continuously explore opportunities to improve processes, support and guide teams to ensure process improvements and productivity is achieved to enable efficient inbound and outbound supply chain operations Track dispatch rate losses and lead RCA on top losses Track output reliability and lead RCA on logistics related losses RM/PM Management Responsible for the procurement and warehousing of all materials, including stock counts, stock rotation, stock control and systems transaction processing. Ensure that forecasts are supplied to suppliers, and materials call offs are done timeously to meet forward production plans Resolves material shortages/inconsistencies and mitigates impact on firmed production plans Stakeholder Management Liaise with Central procurement team to exploit consignment opportunities, lead time reductions and improve supplier reliability Liaise regularly with the supply planner & CPM to optimize working capital and service level trade-offs with regards to sourcing unit constraints. Work with the factory accountant to develop budgets and manage material variances. Build relationships with key suppliers at a senior level and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships Assist in the analysis of customer complaints and develop recommendations for corrective action

 Develop forecast for coin nationally  Analyze cash centers’ coin demand patterns and give advice  Manage cash movements (Ins & Outs) between centers  Evaluate cash centers daily inventory holdings to ensure balance of surplus/deficit;  Generate coin orders per region for submission to SARB as per the 12 months rolling forecast;  Quarterly submit signed off orders to SA Mint for production  Co-ordinate logistics & distribution plan with the Hub Center and track deliveries,  Track and monitor SA Mint production plan v/s actuals, and generate a report of planned v/s actuals, and provide commentary on variances in excess of 20%  Ensure sufficient coin availability across all centers. Key Achievements  Manage to create a balance between surplus and shortages across the centers through effective communication with cash center planners, weekly review and demand analysis, coordinating the inter-center transfers of excessive cash between SBV cash centers and Banks’ cash centers.  Reduced the number of trips for new coin orders regionally, through effective planning resulting in a surplus on the logistics budget

Outbound Planning  Plan all loads as generated by customer orders using the Opsi/Plato system;  Consolidate, schedule and allocate loads to 3rd P and confirm receipts of loads;  Plan and schedule all inter-company replenishment orders;  Optimize route planning by ensuring adherence to delivery schedule & investigate any deviations;  Manage and ensure OTIF by liaising and capacity planning with warehouse foremen and transporters; managing all loads to closure daily. Admin  Handling all transport master data within the system including pricing/rate data;  Convert stock purchase requisitions into delivery orders for inter-company replenishment orders;  Resolve any pricing discrepancies and ensure correct billing by transporters;  Optimize rand/ton by managing cost effectively;  Compile and submit monthly reports to group LM. Key Achievements  Improved truck utilization from 65% to 85% by Sept 2009 through effective planning  Manage to reduce the r/ton rate from an average of R155.56 to R106.62 by utilizing co-loading opportunities across the group and load consolidation for optimized vehicle utilization

Order Management  Allocate stock and pricing data to all orders in the system before order downloads to 3rdP Warehouse & Supply Chain partner and verify order receipts after each download;  Resolve any pricing data issues to ensure order download.  Responsible for processing Game Stores’ national Pampers promotional orders and Export orders and ensure priority allocation and delivery OTIF;  Generate and issue the Service Level Report for all orders processed and fulfilled daily for analysis by the CS/L team;  Handle and resolve order & delivery queries by NFM agents. Distribution Planning  Co-ordinate the delivery schedule and follow up on order deliveries with the 3rd PL;  co-ordinate and track delivery of Export orders;  Offer logistics support to the Wholesale, Baby Channel, Spar DC’s and Masstores (Game stores) sales team;  Investigate and resolve any distribution queries. Key Achievement  Successfully completed the Game stores national Pampers promotion by improving on time delivery prior to promotion break. Delivery reliability improved from 65.8% to 99% consistently.  Improved delivery reliability for Export orders, from 54.3% to 96% by implementing a tracking tool and effective collaboration with the warehouse logistics team

• Confirming goods received daily in the system (theoretical stock) • Ensuring that the company’s receiving policies are adhered to by all delivery companies when offloading and bringing in the stock to the receiving bay/floor • Reconciling invoice pricing with the system pricing daily to ensure no pricing variance, by verifying them against each other. • Generate the Goods Received Voucher report daily and analysis to look out for discrepancies( pricing, qty., weight) • Authorizing uplift vouchers for suppliers (adjustment Vouchers) for obsolete, damaged and expired stock • Preparing for stock take duties and enforcing receiving housekeeping rules.

Received training in all aspects of the wholesale store. Key Areas in which I spent a period of three months each included; Receiving department, Sales floor supervision, Buying office and the Cash office.
