Roussab Rashid, PE, LEED Green Associate

Roussab leads the design and analysis of medium and low-voltage electrical power systems across power generation and storage infrastructures for utilities and data center clients including combustion turbine generation (CTG) plants, reciprocating internal combustion engine (RICE), photovoltaic (PV) plants and battery energy storage system (BESS) plants. He performs advanced electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, relay coordination, underground raceway thermal ampacity calculations using ETAP and SKM. Roussab serves as the primary client liaison, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality, resilient, and constructible engineering solutions. He supports his firm's expanding distributed energy and green energy portfolio while mentoring junior engineers and adapting to evolving project and industry needs.

Provide cutting edge electrical design solutions to clients working with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and vendors maintaining AHJ standards with rapid turnovers. Building system analysis providing upgrade proposals and solutions to existing design problems.

Worked with senior engineers to create electrical, lighting, A/V and security designs for various projects including Comcast Office Buildings, various NPS (National Park Service) structures including LBJ National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, etc., large kitchen facilities, veterinary clinics, churches, etc. Extensively used Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to create the designs according to client specifications while maintaining the NEC codes and IECC compliances. Set up various forms of lighting control using relay panels, control switches, occupancy sensors, etc. to create well coordinated smart lighting designs in conjunctions with suppliers to provide the latest structures in Lighting Design. Aided senior engineers with software issues and helped find most efficient methods of problem solving.

Worked under senior engineers to create electrical designs for various projects including University of Pennsylvania, Reading Hospital, University of Maryland, etc. Used Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to create the designs according to client specifications using RFIs and Submittals. Carried out electrical system analyses such as Load Flow, Arc Flash, Short Circuit analyses,etc. using SKM Powertools Used various load calculations to calculate building load costs and minimize the energy requirements.

Worked for teams to create Electrical design for various buildings using REVIT BIM and AutoCAD maintaining the NEC Standards Carried out field surveys at various client locations to estimate building requirements.

Created and modified system designs on various projects for Nuclear Power Stations at Limerick and Three Mile Islands and for Exelon and Consolidated Edison using MircoStation and AutoCAD.
