The mission of the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at Broad Institute is to reduce the burden of severe mental illness through research. • Led the establishment of an annual meeting with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which culminated in a successful Accelerating Medicines Partnership (AMP) proposal to the FNIH for schizophrenia • Advise and support the Director in communicating our research to a variety of audiences and building relationships to further our mission • Launched a clinical didactics fellowship at McLean hospital for Stanley Center researchers to learn more about the patients we aim to help with our research • Administrative Leadership team member, leading the organization for our annual Scientific Advisory Board meeting, Annual Report, biennial Symposium and other meetings • Oversee a project manager responsible for the center's Sklar Fellowship award and clinical didactics program

The Broad Research Communication Lab offers writing, speaking, and visual support for scientists. • Coach research scientists with manuscript preparation, the publishing process, grant applications, and personal statements for grad/med school applications • Work closely with researchers on preparing spoken presentations for a variety of audiences

• Led weekly section discussion meetings that reflect on the topics covered in lectures • Received a 5.0 (highest) Q score from the students in my section • Devised paper prompts, scenarios for sections, and midterm exams • Grade students’ weekly assignments and coach students individually in office hours

• Led the process of reviewing promotion cases for full professors, focused on ensuring a fair and thorough review of the candidates' accomplishments

• One of a close-knit team of 12 people to handle peer review and publication of articles • Launched the first Cell Press workshop on peer review skills for trainees in collaboration with Editorial Board member Angelika Amon at MIT • Pioneered new content types for the journal, including Annotated Classics and animated figures • Co-organized numerous symposia and conferences, including international HIV conference with The Lancet

• Responsible for all content and strategic development of the journal • Hired and line managed a team of three • Represented BMC at COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) meetings

• Commissioned all content for the journal, and oversaw the peer review process, developmentally editing every article to improve style and impact • Won a Global Elsevier award for liaising between the editorial group in London and journal managers in Amsterdam during a change in our work processes

• Responsible for reviewing the intellectual property of MRC-employed scientists around the U.K. • Managed a portfolio of 12 patents and oversaw licensing process

• Interned with the Science Policy team, contributing to the organization of a conference on the emerging roles of China, India and South Korea in science and innovation • Drafted a horizon-scanning discussion piece for the UK Food Standards Agency on the impact of new technologies on food production
