Governor Roy Cooper (NC) appointed Ross as commissioner on the State Emergency Response Commission (“SERC”), which acts in an advisory capacity to the Homeland Security Advisor, to provide input regarding the activities of the NC State Homeland Security Program and Domestic Preparedness Regions. Ross has been appointed to the technical committee that is creating the Active Assailant Supplement to the ANSI/ASIS/SHRM Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention Standard (WPVI).
