Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Program Development (OHSP & PD) provides sound policy advice and analysis in the area of occupational health and safety and supports the continuous improvment of workplace programs through the development of effective practices, evaluationa and measurement, auditing program design and project managmeent. OHSP&PD also proivdes a framework for prevention and reduction of occupational disease in Alberta workplaces.

Led a diverse team of professionals in setting and coordinating the groundwater agenda in water policy development and implementation, issues management, and monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Key strategic aim was aligning groundwater policy with broader department initiatives in the areas of regional planning, water management, and a cumulative effects management system.

Retired from full time service as a senior manager (rank of Major) after twenty-two years of experience in the Canadian Forces. Career assignments spanned policy and program development through to implementation. Final area of focus was on policy coordination within Western Canada. Outstanding leadership skills honed through years of development of leading diverse teams. Actively planned and implemented a number of high profile international operations and training activities. An extensive amount of experience in the provision of strategic policy advice to executive and political leadership.
