Rosemond Amonbea Okraku

Rosemond Amonbea Okraku is a communication professional with some years of experience in journalism, radio production, online publishing and public relations. She is an online journalist working for www.qonversations.com. She is also a freelance producer and presenter at Woezor TV where she helps to produce their flagship political talk show, The Dialogue. Rosemond Amonbea Okraku recently ended her role with the Central University Student Representative Council as the Public Relations Officer and head of the communications team. She is offering her mandatory national service as an administrative assistant at the oil, gas and mining services company, Intertek. She garnered her journalism experience as an intern and volunteer at GhanaWeb and Ahotor FM where she reported, wrote and edited stories on news, sports and entertainment. Before gaining experience in journalism, she worked in customer service and sales at iSON BPO Ghana (MTN) and Maybelline respectively. Rosemond loves volunteering for causes she believes in. She has volunteered as a presenter on Central Live which is the Central University campus radio station. For three years, she occupied the position of Assistant Secretary of the Anglican Sunday School Association of the Accra East ArchDeaconry. Since 2016, she has served as a Sunday School teacher at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Nungua. She is the co-founder and president of the Ghana Tourism Club, a campus-based association of travel and tourism buffs who aim to promote Ghana by exploring sites and sharing experiences with the world. She is also the coordinator of the Junior Journalists and Communicators Club (J2C2), a project designed for high school students in Ghana to offer them essential journalism and public speaking training that will transform them into change agents in their societies. Rosemond Amonbea Okraku earned a Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies in 2018 from the GH Media School in Accra. In November 2023, she graduated with a first class honours degree in Communication Studies from the Central University and was adjudged Best Student in Communication Studies.
