Hello. I've lived in Cambridge now for longer than anywhere and have worked as a teacher of English and as a counsellor with various groups of people. I came upon Psychology by chance as a way of dealing with some issues I had myself. I then became fascinated with how the mind's system works and undertook a training in London to qualify as a counsellor/therapist.

I was able to help pupils here to explore why they were angry and I also went with them to meetings and helped them with their school work. This wasn't a counselling role as such, more of a keyworker role.

In Hackney I worked in a Primary School for two years. I saw children, teachers and staff. Usually children were sent to me with behaviour difficulties and seeing me was a chance for them to work out some of the reasons things weren't going right for them at school.
