Global Chief Information Security Officer - CISO @ Topgolf Callaway Brands
About
I believe the future belongs to organizations that can innovate fearlessly — because they’ve built trust by design. As Global Chief Information Security Officer for Topgolf Callaway Brands (NYSE: MODG), I lead technology transformation across a global portfolio of consumer, sports-tech, and retail brands. My work centers on modernizing IT ecosystems, building AI governance and data trust frameworks, and embedding security, privacy, and compliance into business growth strategies. Recruited post-ransomware, I architected a full enterprise reinvention: rebuilding the company’s risk model, strengthening identity and access controls, and redesigning resilience programs across all brands. More importantly, I transformed how we think about innovation — ensuring that every new capability, from AI-driven personalization to global e-commerce scaling, launches with security and privacy embedded from the first line of code. I'm passionate about building frameworks that enable responsible AI adoption across our lines of business and ensure privacy and security by design. Our early results are measurable: AI adoption up 5% → 30%, vulnerabilities down 60%, detection time improved 40%, and overall enterprise risk translated into a quantitative business value model that guides board investment decisions. My philosophy: leadership is less about control and more about clarity. I build cultures where people understand why trust matters — so they can move fast, innovate boldly, and deliver responsibly. Recognized as a Global Cyber Titan, Auditboards Top 100 CISO, and Board Member for the Black Hat AI Summit, I’m now focused on scaling that same model of secure innovation into the broader enterprise — modernizing technology, data, and AI ecosystems to drive growth, resilience, and investor confidence. Industry: Hospitality, Gaming, Entertainment, Retail, Finance, Aviation, Healthcare, Fraud & Intelligence, Insurance, Metaverse, Education. Global Chief Information Security Officer - CISO
Carlsbad, California, United States
Recruited following a major ransomware incident to redefine the role of security and technology governance across a global portfolio of lifestyle and sports-tech brands. I was brought in not only to strengthen defenses, but to rebuild the operating model — transforming Information Security from a reactive, fragmented function into a unified, data-driven, and business-aligned organization. Enterprise InfoSec Strategy Redesign: Revamped the entire global Information Security strategy, aligning it to business growth, digital modernization, and M&A initiatives. Repositioned security as an enterprise enabler — integrated into product development, operations, and brand innovation. Organizational Restructure: Redesigned the global security organization, establishing a federated operating model that aligned corporate governance with regional and brand-specific needs. Rebuilt the team’s leadership stack, clarified accountability, and introduced performance metrics tied to business outcomes. AI Governance in Motion: Driving the creation of the enterprise framework for responsible AI — embedding privacy-by-design, risk classification, and model validation into all data and analytics workflows, ensuring innovation moves at the speed of trust. Quantitative Risk Strategy: Built a risk-to-value model mapping cyber and operational risk directly to EBITDA impact — transforming board oversight from compliance-based reporting to ROI-driven decision making. Identity Modernization: Delivered a full lifecycle Privileged Access Management program, secret vaulting, and least-privilege automation — achieving zero critical audit findings. Business Continuity & Resilience: Overhauled enterprise BCP/DR, aligning RTO/RPO to revenue-critical systems, with quarterly crisis simulations and improved branch-level recovery times. IPO & Investor Readiness: Aligned PCI DSS 4.0 and IT SOX compliance with IPO and divestiture objectives, increasing audit traceability and investor assurance.
