Manage services for infrastructure organization including an L7 software load balancer & router, HTML caching system, SSL/TLS certificate management system, and OCSP stapling service. These services handled over 18,000 request per second (RPS) for ~2.5 million custom domains. Lead a team of 5 software engineers and provide mentoring/coaching for new grads and new hires. Define the technical roadmap for the team. Handle code reviews, design reviews, Jira planning, performance evaluations, and technical interviews. Top individual technical achievements: - Improved the performance and reliability of the SSL/TLS certificate management system by reducing average response time from 2 seconds to 50 milliseconds (ms). - Changed several edge services from single data center design to multi-data center design and automated data center failover for those services. - Increased the cache hit for the HTML caching system from ~35% to ~50%.
