At Ivi, I work on the IaaS team, which provides core infrastructure services for all engineering teams — including virtualization (OpenNebula), container orchestration (Kubernetes), storage systems, and configuration management.

Responsibilities: - Managing the DevOps team. Hiring, leading and coaching employees. - Designing, deploying, and maintaining high available AWS infrastructure following best practices. Employing an Infrastructure as Code approach. - Building CI/CD pipelines for a variety of services (GitLab, ArgoCD). Launching and managing applications in Kubernetes (AWS EKS, Helm). - Incident response, performing diagnostics and resolving issues in infrastructure and service operations. Configured monitoring and logging systems: Prometheus, ELK, OpenTelemetry. - Communication with customer managers and technical teams, participation in presales activities. Cooperation with customer dev teams to solve problems that arise during service operation. Key achievements: - Scaled the team from 1 to 5 members. Developed internal standards and policies to accelerate onboarding of new employees. - Ensured effective communication and cooperation within the department with 100% remote personnel. - Provided process automation and infrastructure management in AWS for the EMEA region division of a leading US online game developer (Riot Games). Ensuring the availability of game events web services during peak loads of up to 250k RPM.

Key achievements: - Planned and implemented the migration to Kubernetes for the SaaS digital asset management system (picvario.com). Collaborated with the development team to plan architectural changes to enable the migration to Kubernetes. Improved the system's performance by enhancing the scalability of application components and its resilience. As a result, the waiting time for operations involving digital assets (export, import, video conversion, etc.) decreased by threefold. - Implemented best practices and automation, enabling efficient deployment and infrastructure support while simultaneously handling a growth in concurrent projects from 3 to 6-7, without expanding the engineering team. - Optimized the troubleshooting process and identification of bottlenecks in the application by implementing distributed tracing using OpenTelemetry and Elastic APM.
