About

My LinkedIn connection is intended for educational publication purposes only. It is not intended to attract clients. My main commitment currently is to complete written works in progress. I have not been seeking/accepting new business, nor have I sought to teach any courses. My current focus/product is legal publications (articles, chapters, books, posts). The views expressed on this site are my own and are not influenced by any conflict of interest, unless disclosed. See http://www.lawofficeofficeofronalddavidgreenberg.com (at NOTICES: Disclaimer--generally (Professional Ethics)). As a physics/engineering undergraduate major, I have maintained a continuing interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and more recently STEAM (STEM+ Arts). Having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in 1957, I had intended to sit for the second exam (Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam) to obtain a PE license and, accordingly, was prepared to act on Army orders (circa May 1957) to report as a Research Engineer (rocket/missile guidance, control, tracking, design, instrumentation) at Army Ballistic Missile Agency. I am, however, not licensed to practice engineering as a PE. See, e.g., What is a PE? https://www.nspe.org/resources/licensure/what-pe. This plan was overridden by Navy orders to report to U.S. Naval Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia (circa June 1957) and then to the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Tarawa (CVS 40), Quonset Point, Rhode Island (circa Oct.1957). By the time I had completed my tour of duty on the Tarawa in 1959 as a disbursing/supply officer dealing with business related matters of the ship, the die pretty much had been cast in favor of a business law career. My commitment for over 50 years has been to concentrate on business law as lawyer, educator, author, scholar, researcher. Photo Credit: Candyce Golis Photography (www.candycegolis.com)

Arthur, Dry, Kalish, Taylor and Wood

1967-1 - 1969-1 · 2 yrs 1 mo

NY, NY

Attorney at a leading New York City law firm having as one of its major clients, Uniroyal, a large multinational corporation industrial manufacturer. The legal work involved, e.g., analysis of tires in tire blow-out cases and other legal work of a general nature arising out of the business of a large multinational industrial corporation. The firm was divided into two groups: lawyers working on general legal matters (of which I was a member) and other lawyers who worked mainly on Uniroyal patent matters.

Allied Chemical Corporation

1964-6 - 1967-1 · 2 yrs 8 mos

NY, NY

Worked as attorney in legal department of Allied Chemical Corporation. Also as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.). was fulfilling the requirement of Demonstrating Qualifying Engineering Experience For Licensure. See http://www.nspe.org/resources/licensure/resources/demonstrating-qualifying-engineering-experience-licensure. See also, e.g., http://www.nspe.org/resources/licensure/resources/demonstrating-qualifying-engineering-experience-licensure#sthash.BBkGdB7h.dpuf. Generally, a candidate for engineering licensure will graduate from a four-year ABET [Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology] accredited engineering program, take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination during his or her senior year, start work in an engineering position immediately after graduation, and begin to accumulate qualifying engineering experience in order to take the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Examination at the earliest opportunity (completed a five-year two-summer (1952-1957) accredited applied physics and engineering program; took the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Examination examination as Tau Beta Pi initiate/member (1957)). The usual requirement is four years of qualifying engineering experience. See also http://www.nspe.org/resources/licensure/resources/demonstrating-qualifying-engineering-experience-licensure#sthash.BBkGdB7h.dpuf. The work in the legal department of a large multinational corporation and industrial manufacturer (e.g., production, storage, and sale of chemicals; quantitative analyses of settlement of law suit (legal dept. memo; article submitted to a law review) would presumably count in part as qualifying engineering experience.

Worked as a financial analyst on international finance matters in Treasurer's Dept. of Standard Oil Company at its Rockefeller Plaza offices, NY, NY.
