Process engineering. Senior level distribution executive. Use of past experiences and current knowledge of equipment and/or methods to decrease cost, increase quality or improve on safety .

Started in 1983 as a Plant Engineer in the Beattyville facility. Was promoted to Plant Manager the next year and moved to West Liberty for 5 years. I spent about a year and a half in Williamsburg, KY as the Distribution Manager and then took on the Corp Engineering responsibilities of all locations. A few years later, I was moved into a Director of Mfg position where I remained until the DC Manager's position became avaiable. This was in my home town and gave me an opportunity to be at home more. Although the DC was in my hometown, I was traveling abroad to Lion's DC's and contractor facilities in Europe and Asia as well. Within a couple of years, I took on the Director of Distribution positon after G&K purchased the Uniform Division from Lion Apparel.

Worked on various engineering positions and projects until Kellwood closed the Brookhaven plant in 1983 at which time I was offered a positon at Lion Apparel.

Responsible for the safety of our employees, quality customer satisfaction in order fulfillment, continuous improvement, the annual operating budget, all DC managers and supervisors.
