ASSISTANT CONTROLLER 12/02 – 03/08 Accomplishments Successfully filed all of the Company’s Cost Reports for each year that required a filing and received 100 percent of the Bad Debt recoveries from the CMS intermediary. Coordinated the building of web based ordering for our clinics through a series of shopping lists with our vendors that created the opportunity for volume based discounts. Built the inventory schedules that are used to track inventory and cost of goods sold. Coordinated pricing and rebates with the vendors for drugs and routine supply purchases used in a dialysis treatment. Was in charge of purchasing the dialysis machines, water and bicarbonate systems used to start a new clinic. Managed the accounts payable department to insure that all invoices were properly coded and entered into the General ledger system. Supervised the preparation and issuance of 1099 reporting to the various vendors and consultants.

MANAGER OF FINANCIAL REPORTING 06/88 – 10/93 Responsible for the extensive financial reporting of operating gold mines in California, Nevada, and satellite offices throughout the United States, Canada, Chile, and Mexico. Direct reporting relationship to CFO for organizations’ entire financial requirements. Accomplishments Established procedures for monthly reporting and consolidation, reducing staff time spent in preparation from nine days to five days, a forty-four percent savings in man-hours. Organized the scheduling and coordination of the year-end audit by Ernst and Young at Headquarters and two field sites, facilitating the issuance of audited financial statements conforming to debt requirements. Established guidelines for the issuance of the corporation’s operating budget and was recognized by the CFO of Hanson Industries for excellence in organization and presentation. Coordinated an Internal Revenue Service audit for a four-year term, which culminated in minimal tax consequences for Hanson Industries.

* CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER 06/84 – 06/88 Responsible for all corporate accounting, including consolidation of financial statements, budget reports, and maintaining the cash management system. Accomplishments * Supervised four staff accountants responsible for all general ledger reporting. * Prepared quarterly accounting returns for foreign parent, utilizing London Standard forms accounting. * Coordinated and verified sixteen individual subsidiaries’ tax packages for corporation tax return.

* STAFF ACCOUNTANT 03/80 – 06/84 Responsible for financial statements of a Canadian gold mine located in the province of Quebec. Accomplishments * Coordinated the cash management, journal entries, and foreign translation for the Canadian mine. * Reconciled sales, prepared cost of sales summary, operating and exploration expenses, cash receipts and disbursements.
