As a supply chain engineer in Axione UK, I am in charge of creating and implementing of all supply chain related processes. It is a cross-functionnal role, which includes on one hand the definition of the procurement strategy, the creation and application of specific forecasting methods, daily contact with suppliers, transport organisation and delivery planning, new customs formalities to be applied due to Brexit. On the other hand, I am managing logistics matters, from the research and the installation in warehouse - forecasting the requirements in terms of storage space, drafting layouts, hiring and training of the warehouse operative etc…- to the creation of the stock management processes, such as definition of min/max thresholds, application of the Lean method, distribution of material to subcontractors and the management of the ERP. As the project has been starting since a year, most of these operations can be optimized and I am seeking for continuous improvement throughout time.
