Hey, my name is Rohun! I’m a USCF National Master and FIDE Candidate Master studying Economics at UT Austin, where I serve as the official coach of the UT Chess Club. As UT’s chess coach, I run team practices and 1:1 sessions focused on opening prep, calculation discipline, and practical endgames. I’ve helped individuals and school teams earn Top-3 finishes at Nationals and consistent results at Texas state events, building a culture of preparation, resilience, and accountability. Recently, I worked as a Summer Analyst at Bayard Asset Management, where I authored a CIO-facing “Buy” on Tokyo Electron (8035 JP) and supported an ~$80M initiation by segmenting demand (AI/HPC, 3D NAND, 2-nm) and modeling revenue sensitivities by tool category. I also evaluated cross-border trade and export-control risks and synthesized filings, industry outlooks, and sell-side notes into concise investment memos. I also worked in a law office, where I honed research, organization, and client-facing communication.
