With the COVID crisis, the main focus was on cash conservation & Working Capital Reduction. Improved production lead time from 97.8 min to 47.9 min & achieved cost saving worth 1 Million USD over the entire plant. Focusing on lean principles for reducing Working Capital, -Lean Design --> Reducing no. of parts & subassemblies, lighter & cheaper material options for making simpler designs using DFM & DFA. -Make vs Buy --> comparing vendor procurement & in-house subassembly cost & logistics -Lean Manufacturing --> reducing takt time & implementing simpler processes both in-house & at the vendor.

Research Project - Biodiesel Combustion Analysis
Trichy
-Govt. organization, DST Young Scientist sponsored project worth 30 Lakh INR (400 Thousand USD). -Journal published by Mech Dept, NIT Trichy. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.energy.2019.01.079 -Combustion analysis of biodiesel extracted from Beal seeds (Aegle Marmalos) and comparison with diesel. -Simulation of biodiesel blends combustion to compare corrosion effects, friction coefficient, BTE & BSFC performance metrics and CO, HC & NO emissions with that of diesel.

Automation Design - Fruits Quality Assurance
Bengaluru Area, India
Project on ways for replacing manual inspection with automated inspection to reduce bad quality of fruits reaching customers. Initially came up with idea of PACKSORT - image processing fruits with a regular camera in a box. But the internal quality of fruits was not ensured perfectly. Performed research on finding fruits quality using Spectrophotometer. Then looked into the ways of incorporating the Spectrophotometer for the quality inspection.
