I completed 2 projects in a hybrid environment for Enterprise Security Department within SaskPower, namely Energy Management System Operations (EMSO) cyber incident response plan for Incident Response and Recovery; and creating proactive measure to identify threats within the grid control centre as part of Security Monitoring and Alerting initiative. Among my selected accomplishments, I: - Established and implemented documentation of processes and responses for the grid control centre based off gathered requirements from stakeholders to responsibly and proactively manage a cybersecurity incident, a first for the organization. - Supported integration and deployment of “Single Pane of Glass” strategy into cybersecurity events to centralize view and management of entire digital system, providing opportunity for more proactiveness in response to potential threats. Among my key responsibilities, I: - Developed incident response plans, including modes of failure, responses, processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities. Facilitated stakeholder collaboration and implemented backup and recovery plans to meet SLA requirements. -Worked with grid control centre managers and engineers to identify current processes and EMS assets, and then worked with cyber security department to identify specific procedures for non-grid control centre cyber incidents. - Conducted in-depth research to determine asset priorities within the grid centre and top threats that could occur to analyze information and plan accordingly. Documented protection needs within assets to ensure plans cover all bases. - Analyzed project requirements, documented and provided plan to managers, and conducted business benefit assessments and in-house testing, subsequently training end-users on execution. Worked with external vendors Splunk and Industrial Defender to ensure effectiveness of plan during project execution.
