 Identified and characterized the role of mixed-lineage leukemia protein (MLL) complex in androgen receptor signaling and investigated therapeutic potential of menin-MLL complex inhibitors in lethal castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) (Nature Medicine, 2015).  Executed discovery and characterization of ARlnc-1, a highly prostate cancer-specific lncRNA, (Nature Genetics, 2018). Identified PCAT-14, a novel prostate cancer and lineage-specific long non-coding RNAs as a prognostic biomarker for treatment intensification in prostate cancer (Neoplasia, 2016)  Investigated in-vitro and in-vivo efficacy as well as the mechanism of action of BET degrader molecule in prostate cancer (Nature, 2014). Initiated studies to understand the mechanism of acquired resistance to anti-androgen and anti-BET therapies in prostate cancer.  Led and managed a large team of scientists (Graduate Students, Post-doctoral Fellows, Research technicians, and Undergraduate Students) to evaluate the role of long non-coding RNA in cancer biology. Highly experienced in the training, supervision, and development of scientists at various levels.  Authored several research articles and successfully competed and obtained extramural funding to develop therapeutics for CRPC. Responsible for conceptualization, preparing grant applications, implementation of funded research, and preparing annual reports for funding agencies.
