As the Director of Security Engineering at Paylocity, I lead teams focused on Cloud Security Engineering & Automation, DevSecOps, Infrastructure Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management, and Offensive Security. My primary goal is to reduce risk to Paylocity without compromising developer velocity. We achieve this by delivering secure infrastructure and platforms that empower software engineers to build and deploy applications efficiently while maintaining strong security controls. To further embed security within our engineering culture, we run the Security Ninja Program, which provides hands-on security training to our software engineers, equipping them with the skills to proactively identify and mitigate security risks. Through automation, proactive security measures, and strategic risk management, my teams ensure security is seamlessly integrated into the development lifecycle, enabling innovation without friction.
