Roel Heyninck

I help founders, CEOs and product teams shape and launch new physical products. My work blends industrial design, early-stage innovation, fast prototyping and clear visual communication. I like to bring ideas to a point where they can be tested, refined and eventually built. Over the past 6+ years I worked on more than 30 projects for companies like Televic, Barco, Philips, Coca-Cola, Stokke and Baron as well as many startups and scale-ups. This mix taught me how to move between creativity, technology and business while keeping momentum high. Most projects start small with early insights or exploration and grow into prototypes, detailed design or manufacturable products. I help teams test assumptions sooner, reduce guesswork and make confident progress toward solutions that work for real users. I co-founded WOOW our own golf brand for kids. Tiny swings, big wonders. A playful project where design, behaviour and joy come together. It also keeps me close to what it means to build a product and a brand from scratch. I received several design awards including Red Dot, European Design Award and Henry van de Velde and I helped co-create MyGrid, which raised €1M+ and introduced a new take on home energy products. Today I work as a Freelance Product Designer and Innovation Partner offering support in: • Industrial and Product Design Concepts, CAD 3D, CMF, usability, packaging, DFM. • Prototyping and Validation Quick prototypes, design iterations and user insights. • 3D and AI Visualization High-quality renders, early design directions and visuals for stakeholders or investors. • Product and Innovation Strategy Opportunity framing, design research, product architecture and go-to-market thinking.
