Appointed Chair City of Santa Cruz Planning Commission for 2013-2014. I have served on a number of Boards and Commissions. I have been Chairperson of our Local Transit Board, served on a number of City Housing Task Forces and Commissions, been a member of our Cities General Plan Committee helping develop 2 General Plans. In addition to this I have served several terms on the City's Transportation Commission and have, since 1998, served on the City of Santa Cruz's Planning Commission holding the position of Chairperson of the Commission 3 times.

Founded in 1988, West Hawai'i Mediation Center strives to provide an array of high quality conflict resolution services to community members and organizations throughout West Hawai'i. These services are available and affordable through the consistent and dedicated efforts of trained volunteers and staff combined with ongoing public/private funding partnerships.WHMC is a member of a statewide organization, Mediation Centers of Hawai'i (MCH). This organization is made up of five independent, non-profit mediation centers which are each partially funded by the State Judiciary via the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

I have been the "administrator/go-to guy for" home loan modifications for the last 4 years at the Credit Union. This is our Home Preservation Program. To date (10/20/12) we have provided modifications to nearly 500 of our members/borrowers and on a % of asset size, I would guess that we have provided help to more borrowers than nearly any other lender in the Nation...and we have done it without Federal Assistance.
