About
Through my work as the founder of Heart. Soul. Pen. and HEARTIFACTS, I create transformational writing and wellness experiences that help women return to themselves through the power of language, reflection, and storytelling. What began as a personal creative practice has grown into a bicoastal movement dedicated to helping women unleash their voices, reclaim their identities, and connect to themselves across life transitions. My writing experiences exist at the intersection of storytelling, emotional healing, and personal transformation. I offer women's classes and workshops for wellness weekends, retreats, and other immersive experiences where women seek to reconnect with themselves through writing.I am the author of "Heart. Soul. Pen.: Find Your Voice on the Page and in Your Life "(Morehouse, May 2024), a guide into this practice of returning to one’s own voice. My personal essays have been featured in the New York Times, L.A. Times, Washington Post, and many more. I was thrilled to be highlighted in Maria Shriver's The Sunday Paper as an 'Architect of Change.' Through guided writing experiences, I support women in: Reclaiming their inner authority - Reconnecting with emotional truth - Articulating identity shifts and life transitions - Moving through motherhood, midlife, menopause, grief, reinvention, and becoming - Transforming silence, doubt, and disconnection into self-expression and clarity. Heart. Soul. Pen. is about more than becoming "a writer." It is about becoming yourself again.Everything I do is informed by my training in: Public Health (Columbia University); Spiritual Psychology (University of Santa Monica); Narrative writing and personal essay. This integration allows me to design experiences that are not only creative, but also grounded and emotionally transformative. I create: Transformational writing workshops - Custom women’s wellness experiences - Writing-based programs for life transitions - Hot Writing, exploring your voice during midlife and menopause. WORK WITH ME? I happily collaborate with organizations, wellness partners, brands, retreats, universities, and cultural spaces to design writing-based experiences that are transformative and deeply memorable. Awarded Artist Grant⏐Create & Teach 'Mothering Through the Pandemic' Writing Workshop
Author and women’s advocate Robin Finn is asking Los Angeles mothers, What just happened? Over the past two years of lockdown, homeschooling, illness, isolation, and work instability due to the COVID-19 pandemic, women bore the brunt of caring for others, including children, grandchildren, parents, friends, and co-workers. Finn believes these historical narratives need to be explored, captured, and shared. She created a writing workshop “What Just Happened? Mothering Through the Pandemic and Beyond,” and a grant from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs is now making it a reality. “Whether you mothered children, friends, neighbors, or a co-worker through the COVID outbreak, these stories are important and have historical significance,” says Finn, an author and teacher with master’s degrees in both public health and spiritual psychology. Finn is also the founder of L.A.-based women’s writing program Heart. Soul. Pen., which she created to encourage women to share their voices. “Too often, women think their stories don’t have value. This is not true. Women’s stories matter, and their experiences are worthy of sharing.”
