I am currently working as a Traffic / Electrical design engineer carrying out full electrical designs for simple crossings to large complex traffic systems ensuring all designs are with in the current BS7671 regulations, working for various clients and local authority's such as TFL. I am also involved in the design, implementation and commissioning of traffic signal crossings/ junctions, from drawing detailed Auto CAD drawings, writing Technical notes/ reports, Risk assessment and controller specifications.

I was the Senior Project Engineer for Siemens ITS delivering a major Tram project for the city of Nottingham, ensuring the project was delivered on time and with in budget. Leading a team of traffic signal installers and engineers, ensuring health and safety was paramount and at the for-front of the teams priority. Supplying and installing large and complex traffic and tram junctions. liaising with clients, suppliers, local authorities and partners. I was responsible for over seeing the installation of each junction was installed to the specifications of the project requirements and I personnel carried out all the electrical testing, inspection and completion of all the electrical test documentation and certification ensuring all testing meet the regulations of BS7671. Following testing I was responsible for the design and final connection of the traffic signal equipment and the Tram signal control equipment. Finally I was responsible for the several stages of commissioning and the final sign over of the very successful project. For my efforts I received several recognition above and beyond awards from Siemens PLC, of which I was very proud to receive.

Base in a central location providing Technical and Physical support for clients and field based engineers through out the East/ West midland area. My Role included; Ensuring all operations carried out are with the Company's, Industry's Health and Safety policies, identifying hazard and implementing procedures to minimize risks before commencing operation for myself, colleagues and contractors working on all types and sizes of projects. Emergency stand by, reactive response for all traffic signal and traffic information assets across the contract areas. Complex fault diagnostics on all traffic signal related equipment, including giving technical support to a large team of maintenance engineers. Full traffic signal controller build and preparation ready for standard and none standard signal installations. Installation, maintenance and complex fault diagnostics of other traffic systems including Police ANPR cameras, CCTV, VMS and Communication equipment. Commissioning of all traffic signal, associated and auxiliary equipment. Full electrical testing, inspection and certification of traffic signal and associated equipment.
