Lead the University’s advancement and development function, Key responsibilities are to provide leadership to inspire the University and a dedicated Advancement team, develop and execute strategies to grow internal and external partnerships, establish and implement governance policies and processes in compliance with regulatory requirements, and strengthen philanthropic and stakeholder relationships to grow the collaboration with and support for the University.

Director, Development Office
The Development Office leads the University’s engagements of philanthropic partners, alumni, staff and students, with the vision for NTU to be the choice partner in global philanthropic giving, and the mission to inspire the culture of giving by engaging and empowering the NTU community and friends through strategic innovations and stewardship to achieve their philanthropic goals. Led the spectrum of development functions, including fundraising, campaigns, stewardship, communications, events, research, gift processing and operations. Significant improvements were made to team dynamics and functional effectiveness, with fundraising performance in 2018 and 2019 surpassing those of the preceding years.

Senior Deputy Director, School Health Planning
The Health Promotion Board is a government agency tasked to promoting healthy living in Singapore. It empowers the Singapore public with knowledge and skills to take ownership of their health and live a healthy lifestyle, using evidence-based health knowledge to formulate and implement health policies and programmes that will improve the nation’s health. Directed and integrated long-term engagement strategies and solutions across the entire school sector, with relevant government and educational partners, to drive success in improving the health of students and youth.

Senior Deputy Director, Tertiary Partnerships
Led team to engage the leadership of the institutes of higher education, building meaningful partnerships to increase schools’ and students’ health mindshare, motivation, participation and sustenance. Established strong collaborations and programmes with the institutions.

Enterprise Singapore, formerly known as International Enterprise Singapore and Trade Development Board, is the government agency championing enterprise development. It works with committed companies to build capabilities, innovate and internationalise. It also supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups. Over his years at the Trade Development Board and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), Robin managed various industry and market responsibilities, and helped companies in their overseas growth. Among his greatest achievements were the successful growth of Singapore enterprises into his markets of responsibility, the transformation of account management policies and processes, and the development and global implementation of the CRM system.

Centre Director (Manila) and First Secretary (Commercial)
Headed IE Singapore’s office and concurrently served as First Secretary (Commercial) of the Singapore Embassy in the Philippines, with the mission of providing market support for Singapore companies with business interest in the Philippines. Engaged a multi-national and cross-cultural network of international diplomats, government officials and business leaders to grow relationships and uncover business opportunities.
