About
I write the popular "Miss Conduct" social advice column in the Boston Globe Sunday magazine. My book "Miss Conduct's Mind Over Manners" was published by Holt in 2009. I also write and blog in the Globe and elsewhere about social behavior, psychology, and the performing arts. I also work as a researcher at Harvard Business School in the Organizational Behavior unit. Our research focuses on strategic human management of top performers--and how top performers can best manage their own careers. (Hint: they're not as good at it as they think they are. We can help.) I give talks on a variety of topics including social behavior and etiquette, Jewish values, and career management. Specialties: Psychology, research methodology, social behavior, etiquette, writing, teaching at the college level, comedy, theater, communication strategies, strategic human resources management, project management.
