I have work in the steel industry for over 25 years. I start my journey in Southampton England with Stevens Engineering. I did my apprenticeship and became fitter welder trades man. I attended Southampton technical college once a day and in evenings I took other welding and fitting courses. I also took a BTEC at Southampton technical college. I then went to work at Esso oil refinery at Fawley Southampton. I really enjoy the different type of work we were all involved in. From working on ships to structural building. I moved to Canada in 1993 where I work as a welder/fitter. I started at Waiward steel in February 1995 as a fitter. Then became foreman in the detail machine department. I enjoy my job and the challenges it brings with it.
