The Property Professionals Breakfast Club was set up in 1987 by Steven Parnes and Harvey Selby to establish a regular social venue for Property Professionals, Developers, Investors, Dealers, Agents, Solicitors, Surveyors, Accountants and Bankers etc to meet on a regular, but casual basis to encourage an exchange of views and experiences in the marketplace. The Club is not for profit. Any surpluses are donated to charities on a regular basis. The Property Professionals Breakfast Club meets 11 times a year, in St Johns Wood, NW8. We have a speaker at each meeting carefully chosen to highlight topics which encompass the interests of a cross-section of our members. Richard Carlowe and myself took over the club in 2015 and have grown the membership to around 150. The club is known among the industry as the "off-market breakfast club" due to its long rich history, high profile members and the lack of any advertisement. I founded Kingston Entrepreneurs in my second year of university. Initially I wanted to create a platform where I can find and interact with like minded people. It engaged students and members of the public to expand on their ideas and take action. We held many engaging networking events and workshops. Whilst I was president of the society we won national and international awards and competitions, defeating top universities from around the world (Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, LSE etc) After my tenure as president the society has grown from strength to strength and is now going strong into its sixth (2011-2012) academic year. When I started the society it had 0 members, under my 2 year tenure it grew to over 500 and now has over 1000 members. My current role as the chairman is to passively oversee the progress and advise the new management.
