Workplace Health and Safety Program – Managed an integrated approach to monitor employee and organizational health and safety performance, and to manage costs from an organizational perspective. It was essential for Alberta Health Services to strengthen the connection between a safe and engaged workforce and their core business of safe and high-quality patient care. The Program was to develop, implement and align a WHS Policy, WHSMS Standard and WHSMS Priority Framework, and is diligently moving forward on numerous other components.

Providing the financial planning of the company by preparing key financial reports and analyzing the ongoing performance of the company’s financial position. Setting up and overseeing the company’s financial system and internal controls.

Responsible for creating and implementing organizational plans and policies for roles that include Operational Accounting Manager, Manager of Special Projects and Facilities Manager.

Providing coordination and strategic leadership for support functions for the Information Management Division. The support functions include management of ongoing operational finances, vendor contracts, desktop software, desktop procurement, and research advisory services.

Duties generally applied to a combination of accounting and technical skills to pull targeted financial information from a variety of sources and generate reports for the Information Systems Department. Additional responsibilities included conducting internal audits as needed and ongoing financial budget reporting to Corporate.

The Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) provides students with in-depth knowledge of mutual funds. This course is delivered in partnership with the IFSE Institute. Students will be taught about the various types of mutual funds, the forms to evaluate performance and client’s objectives.
