Some of Robert's responsibilities are as follows: 1. Architecting of Provision's cloud infrastructure As development progresses, project requirements need to be architected with the 5 principles of a well architected framework in mind: - Operational Excellence - Security - Reliability - Performance Efficiency - Cost Optimization Using the above principles in mind, Robert is responsible for the architecting of AWS cloud implementations that are highly available and fault tolerant, while meeting project requirements. 2. Development of Cloud Solutions With a now architected solution, Robert is responsible for building out the solution Provision's AWS environment. Common services used in these implementations are as follows: - Lambda - API Gateway - IoT - Cognito - SNS - SQS Robert's preferred programming language/runtime is Python. 3. Deployment of Cloud Solutions With influence from DevOps methodoligies, Robert is responsible for the implementation of CI/CD pipelines, and the testing and deployment of solutions through these pipelines. Common services used in deployments are as follows: - CloudFormation - CodePipeline - CodeBuild 4. Monitoring the status of operating cloud resources Once these cloud resources have been deployed into Provision's AWS environment, Robert is responsible for ensuring that each service is monitored and that appropriate alerts and actions are generated if operational threshold have been breached. Robert achieves this mainly using CloudWatch events and alarms.

As a DMS Cloud Support Associate in AWS, I support customers who work with a wide range of services including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, IoT and many others. Working with customers, to help them to design their architecture's and solve issues they encounter as they develop on the cloud. Hence, this requires dealing with a vast range of technologies on a daily basis, whether it be Android/IOS integration with APIs or IoT management for 1000's of devices. Customers can vary from new start-ups with a handful of employees, to large established companies. Speaking with these customers involves getting an in-depth look into the endless possibilities of IT design, no two scenarios are ever the same.

Worked as part of a team of software developers to deliver applications and changes to systems currently in-place. Dealt with a wide variety of software and languages such as Spring, Android, SQL and JavaScript. Performed comprehensive database changes and large scale application release throughout.
