Provided management with decision support analysis of key areas of opportunities within the clinical and operational areas of CHC (includes five non-profit hospitals in South Central Kentucky). Worked with management engineers in streamlining operations via Sigma Sigma analysis and lean management tools.

Provided network marketing and leadership services (John Maxwell) and products throught Network 21. Traveled international (India, Philippines, and South Africa) to set up businesses. Also, worked as an Area Representative for Excel Communications (Kenny Trout).

Responsibilities entailed Federal, state, and regulatory tax depreciation for regular tax, alternative, and adjusted current earnings depreciation systems. Also, assisted in responding to IRS data requests, SDG&E consolidated tax return preparation and regulatory issues involving full normalization of deferred taxes under FERC Order 144. Implemented the new Power Tax depreciation and deferred tax model that bundles business units for a deregulated California environment. Dealt with IRS agents and worked on Federal appeal court issues.

Supervised a professional staff responsible for all aspects of Federal and state income tax calculations and reporting from a GAAP, SEC, and regulatory perspective. Activities also involved tax issues related to the proposed merger between EPEC and Central and Southwest (CSW). Finally, also reponsible for SFAS 101 "Discontinuing the Application of SFAS 71", and SOP 90-7 "Financial Reporting by Entities in Reorganization Under the Bankruptcy Code."

Responsibilities encompassed all aspects of Federal income tax calculations, reporting, and forecasting from a GAAP, SEC, IRS and regulatory perspective. Prepared consolidated tax return and dealt with IRS agents. Reported directly to the Controller and reported to the Board of Directors on accounting issues. Testified before regulatory bodies on full normalization and deferred tax accounting issues. Dealt extensively with Enron in the Texas regulatory arena.

Duties spanned internal and external SEC reporting and FERC Form 1 filings, public and private financing, R & D accounting, pollution control bonds, and AFUDC calculations. Seasoned in nuclear fuel accounting and joint-venture accounting. Performed extensive internal audits. Managed the professional staff of real estate subsidiary accounting (Franklin Land).
