* Hired to set up and run a standalone stores section for Customer Service dept.to assist Service Manager to improve servicing times by ensuring all standard parts available on time and requisitioning all non standard parts from Production Dept. * Supply accurate parts usage requests for customer quotations. * Liaise with Sales Dept. on shipping aftermarket parts to customers worldwide. * Devise packaging details and arrange shipping parts and bespoke service equipment worldwide dealer network.

Parts Manager 10/2014 to 01/2015 Wirth Research Ltd. WR requested that I return on a temporary basis to manage the Parts Dept. whilst the full time manager recovered from illness. With my knowledge of the company, its systems and staff I was able to ensure that the Parts Dept. continued to receive parts, inspected them and despatched to customers in required time.

* Responsible for all of MCT’s technical and consumable requirements on various engine based projects. * Principal buyer for a North American Stock Car Team (NASCAR) customer engine build/supply contract. * Part of team purchasing the initial batch of engines for the Caparo Road Car Project. * Attend meetings and prepare reports for the Purchasing Manager and Project Engineers. * Seconded to the Super Aguri F1 Team to assist their purchasing dept. to convert the old Arrows F1 car into a Super Aguri F1 car.

* Initially hired specifically for expertise in sourcing and purchasing all of the teams proprietary parts and also raw materials required for the machine shop. * Trained to read and understand technical drawings. * Work with Gearbox/Hydraulic Project Planner to purchase all parts for the teams test and race programmes. * Attend project meetings with Chief Designer and Engineers to coordinate parts supply and fault rectification program. * Also assisted in composite and mechanical purchasing departments as required. * Part of team to assist in setting up, training and implementation of new SAP Operating System so that the team could reduce over spend by providing more accurate information on stock usage & levels to enable stock holding to be reduced and bring departmental spend back within budget.

* Solely responsible for sourcing and purchasing all of the teams consumable and proprietary parts for its British Touring Car Race Programme. * As the teams’ health and safety coordinator set up and monitored the workshop hazardous waste disposal programme to ensure TWR complied with all necessary regulations. * Set up an MRP system to ensure all items were stocked in a timely manner and avoid overspend and reduced stockholding. * Provide monthly spend reports for the Purchasing Manager.

* Tasked with setting up stores layout and bin location system from scratch. * Assisted in hiring and then training 10 stores personnel and devising trackside parts feeding operation. * Also assisted in setting up computer system pick priorities (in conjunction with IT dept.) to ensure that stock levels were accurate to avoid production line stoppages. * Compiled daily shortage reports then attend meetings with Purchasing Manager and buyers to resolve any shortage issues.

* Responsible for checking all goods and parts received and booking onto system. * Issue parts and book out to appropriate chassis or dept. * Monitor and replenish workshop stock as required. * Liaise with buyer on re-ordering requirements. * After 18 months promoted to buying office to purchase consumables, raw materials, proprietary parts, goods and services. * Assisted in upgrading of stores and procedures to introduce an MRP system to show accurate stock levels enabling better stock management which thereby reducing shortages and lowered the spend on proprietary parts and consumables as TWR revamped their racing operation
